We raise a diverse flock of dual-purpose pastured (free range) chickens. They roam our pastures during the day and are secured at night to avoid predator losses.
The flock’s foundation breeds are Brown Leghorn, New Hampshire Red, Rhode Island Red, Black Australorp, Buff Orpington, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Gold Laced Wyandotte – all brown egg layers except Brown Leghorn (a white egg layer). We’ve recently added American Bresse, which is renowned for the flavor of its meat and is also a good layer, and Black Copper Marans, which lay a very dark brown egg.
We offer eggs for consumption*; pure and mixed-breed hatching eggs, chicks, and adult chickens. We hatch throughout the year.
Chickens are naturally omnivorous, not vegetarian. While free ranging, our chickens eat greens and protein sources like bugs. We also offer a non-GMO high protein fermented feed to ensure their nutritional needs are met, and provide healthy treats like fruits, veggies, black oil sunflower seeds, and non-GMO scratch.
*Did you know that truly pastured eggs like ours are more nutritious than non-pastured eggs (and we know our chickens are happier than those in a confinement setting)?

Once you’ve tried our eggs, you won’t want them from anywhere else!
