Rabbits

Rabbits in tractors on pasture

We raise pastured rabbits: they enjoy fresh air, varied greens, exercise, and companionship in a predator-safe environment. Currently, our focus is on the heritage breeds of Silver Fox and American Chinchilla, and crosses with New Zealand.

Our breeding stock has been selected for their ability to effectively utilize pasture and efficiently convert feed to meat. Equally important, we breed for hardiness, parasite resistance, and good mothering instincts.

Silver Fox Rabbits in Black, Lilac, and Blue

Silver Fox is a heritage rabbit breed with a striking coat, considered “Threatened” status by the Livestock Conservancy. These rabbits are desirable not only for their beauty and calm demeanor, but also for their high dress-out percentage as meat rabbits.

We offer pedigreed and non-pedigreed Silver Fox rabbits in a variety of colors, including Black, Blue, and Lilac.

American Chinchilla Rabbit

American Chinchilla is another heritage rabbit breed, considered “Critical” status by The Livestock Conservancy. It has the distinctive and beautiful chinchilla-colored (salt and pepper) coat.

We currently offer American Chinchilla hybrids, fast-growing meat rabbits that are well-suited to pasture operations.

New Zealand Rabbits in White, Agouti, Steel, and Black

New Zealand is a popular breed of rabbit that is prized for its meat. Our New Zealand stock has demonstrated excellent performance on pasture and exceptional mothering ability. When crossed with Silver Fox or American Chinchilla, the offspring are fast-growing, superb meat rabbits with beautiful pelts.
